Chris was the best captain we could have hoped for! He was more than knowledgeable about all things fishing and made it a note to teach us throughout the trip so we could pick up some good information. Chris was very personable and overall a great host. He kept live bait on our lines and made sure to keep the boat in good locations according to the live scope. The boat was very clean, and the setup was very impressive. We had such a great time, caught some huge stripers and catfish, and made many fun memories! Definitely planning on booking with Chris again!

Captain, boat and equipment are solid! We found fish and moved accordingly. Fishing was consistent. Gear was good. Great effort on part of the captain. I certainly would recommend and fish again with this captain!

Myself and my cousin and nephew had a wonderful experience on our trip this morning. Our captain worked to ensure us we would catch fish. I would truly recommend him to my friends. Again, thanks for such a wonderful experience.

My intent in booking a trip was to get my longtime friend, who was visiting from out of town, back on Lake Murray for stripers, like we did 40 years ago. Captain Chris was exceptionally accommodating, by picking us up at our dock, and right on time, even though his normal ramp was not available. He made exceptionally quick work of getting us up the lake to where he knew there to be fish and ran a plethora of lines over several fish groups, but to no avail... they would not bite, despite the intense volumes showing up on the multi-screen displays. He was knowledgeable enough to know when or if to bring a bait in and we had good condition, bait fish in the water, without tangles for a maximum amount of time... just no bites. He really put a lot of effort into trying to get us some fish in the boat, but as we all know, it dont happen every time, but still utmost of a VERY good trip, overall and looking forward to trying it with him, again, in October, since he backs his work by a no-catch policy, at no additional costs. I really didnt expect that , but he was insistent. I really look forward to October, when my buddy will be back in town and we can make some more great memories with Capt. Chris!

We had an awesome time on the trip. Chris definitely knows his craft and made sure we found plenty of fish. The weather was perfect, and we caught a good number of stripers while sharing some great stories. The boat was clean, the gear was up-to-date, and the equipment top-notch. Truly a fantastic experience!

Captain was fantastic! We started the day landing a few keepers early and picked up even more as the morning went on. The kids had an awesome time, and we wrapped up the trip with a cooler packed full of fish.

This morning was our first trip with Captain William (also known as Captain Chris), and my son and I had an unforgettable time fishing for stripers. Although it started slow, by the end we had caught plenty of big fish! I highly recommend choosing Rod Bendin’ Guide Service for a fun, family-friendly outing on Lake Murray.

Captain William was a fantastic guide for our trip. He had us catching fish consistently from the start. My daughter even hooked a Gar along with all the stripers we landed! He was friendly, easy to talk to, and made the whole experience enjoyable. I’d definitely book with him again!

Our fishing trip today was absolutely amazing. Captain William is an exceptional and skilled guide. I wanted to create a special experience for my son, grandson, and myself on our very first fishing outing together, and Captain William made that happen. He arrived on time, was professional, and prioritized our safety throughout the trip. He knew exactly where to find the fish and equipped us with everything needed to catch them. I’ll never forget the joy on my grandson’s face when he landed his first and biggest fish. Even my son is now thinking about getting a boat to fish more often. Captain William took safety seriously—even giving my grandson a timeout for not following instructions, which I fully supported. His deep knowledge of Lake Murray included sharing interesting history about the area. I highly recommend Captain William to anyone looking for a memorable fishing adventure.

My son and I had a great time on this trip. The captain was fantastic—patient with teaching and guiding us, but also efficient so we could spend as much time as possible fishing. We hit our limit and left completely satisfied with Rod Bendin’. Highly recommended!
